Anne (Genereau) Kolquist

Hello Denfeld Class of 79 classmates,
I hope a wonderful time was had by all at the 25 year class reunion. I was very disappointed to have missed it.
In 1983, after graduating from UMD, I married Lee Kolquist. I taught in Catholic schools in Duluth and the Minneapolis area before having my son Luke in 1989. Shortly after he was born we moved to Geneva,Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago. I then retired as a schoolteacher to become a full time mom. My daughter Maddy was born in 1992 and Camille in 1997. Lee and I just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary.
I spend most of my time at St. Peter School as a Brownie Leader, Sports Booster, Art teacher, room mother etc. Our life revolves around the church and school as Lee has coached the girls and boys basketball and Maddys volleyball team. I still love to play the piano, spend alot of time with our dog Callaway and have alot of fun with my book club and Bunco group. I'm still attempting to improve my golf game so I can keep up with my family but I find I spend most of my summer driving them to lessons and tournaments and I have not played much.
Lee works for a small lending company in the area. He has a great boss who happens to be from Duluth. He continues to play golf competitively. We just returned from New York where he played in the U.S. Amateur. Luke had a ball as his caddy.
Luke just started 9th grade at Marmion High School. Which is an all boys, Catholic, Military Academy. He is on the golf team and will try out for the basketball and baseball teams.
Maddy is 12 and just starting 7th grade. She loves to golf too, and plays on her school volleyball team and basketball team. She swims on a team during the summer and loves to be in plays.
Camille will start 2nd grade this year and is excited about making her 1st communion. She loves to play soccer, swims on the team with Maddy and has really learned to golf this summer. She enjoys being a Brownie Girl Scout too.
We love to visit Duluth in February for our annual ski trip to Spirit Mountain. We also visit during the summer to see family and friends and play some golf. My mom is still in the same house so we have followed the wonderful changes at Denfeld. What a beautiful school.
All the best to the Class of 79! The Denfeld page is great. Thanks for all the hard work.
