July 2009:
Thirty years . . .life is very good! Michael and I have been married for 27 years but we've been together for 33. It doesn't feel like it's been that long . . . .I hope to have another 33 years with my handsome man. We have lived in Gary-New Duluth since '81.
We have been blessed with two beautiful sons. They are our pride and joy. Everyone is healthy. Both of them graduated from Denfeld Class of '04 and '07. Matt is 23 and graduated from from the U of M-Twin Cities. He lives and works in Minneapolis for www.pbworld.com. Our youngest Jake is 20 and is still at home with us while attending Lake Superior College for electrical engineering technologies.
I still work for the St. Louis County Auditor in the Accounting and Finance Department. (29 years) I also sell Avon. Michael is still at ME Globel. After all the crazy years of raising the boys, running them around and of course paying for all of their activities we are at a wonderfully peaceful time in our lives. We are both looking forward to an early retirement and hopefully moving soon to the country . . . not too far from Duluth. Michael wants to garden and thinks I'm going to learn how to can things. I keep telling him I'm a "city girl" , but he just smiles. We have alot of family in the Duluth area and we get together often especially during holidays.
I have a lot of fond memories from band and still drag out my alto and flute. It scares the crap out of the kitties. (Lilly and Tiggee) I'm looking forward to the reunion and hoping I still remember some faces.
