Donna (Pfister) Peloquin

After graduation, I went to St. Scholastica, then UMD, when after 5 1/2
years total of college, I decided to major in English and get out of there!
I worked as a Customer Service Supervisor, and then Order Processing
Supervisor for 10 years at Beckley Cardy School Supply.
My husband and I met
and married in 1992. Mark works for the State of Minnesota as a Public
Health Sanitarian. He inspects restaurants, campgrounds, mobile home parks,
hotel pools, etc.
I quit work to work as a Mom after having Betsy. While it
was nice setting my own schedule at home, it was time to go back to work
part-time just last summer. I am now a paid Church Lady - I work as
Bookkeeper and Secretary for St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church,
located across from SMDC. I really love it. I am learning so much from all
the retired Priests that are around, and from the ministry of Msgr. Pat
McDowell to the poor in this city. It is a daily struggle between compassion
and cynicism.
Attached is a picture of my girls. Betsy is 9 and in 4th grade. Katie is 8
and in 3rd. They both go to my old school, St. James. You St. James alum
should really go take a look at the school while here for the reunion. It is
going through some real changes now (you can get in on it too - they'll take
5 year pledges!). Both girls curl in the winter (on ice, not hair) and are
involved in Little Flowers Girls Club (similar to Girl Scouts, but
emphasizes learning virtues like faith, mercy, justice, etc).
Thanks for the web-site - its fun to see what everyone's been up to.
May God continue to bless the class of '79.
