May 2009::

Hey folks... time for an update!
Not a whole lot has changed with the family status over the last 5 years. Still in St. Cloud at the same job in the same house. But that's all good. Having 2 boys in high school has presented its own challenges of course but so far nothing we can't deal with.

On a personal note, my band The Receders has finally released our first CD after being together for 8 years. It turned out fantastic and is currently available on our web site at www.thereceders.com or on sale at Amazon.com and iTunes if anyone is interested. I encourage you to check out the sample tracks and see what you think. We just played our CD release concert here in St. Cloud to a sold-out theater, which was one of the biggest thrills of my life for far.

I've also been doing a lot of writing since I last updated here as well. You can check out my personal humor blog at www.viewfromthecloud.com if you're interested in reading waaayyy too much information about me and my shenanigans over the last 4 years.

Finally, my son and I are starting a new business called Virus Stompers. Both of us have been in the computer service business for years and realized there is a need for a good quality, low cost way of removing viruses. Most people charge $150+ for this and we do it for only $50. So check it out if you need help. We can do it either online, by mail or in person.

Here's a fairly current picture of the family, taken last fall in 2008

Well, that's it for now. I guess this came off kind of advertisey but these are the things I've been up to, so I guess it's ok to write about them. But that reminds me... if you have any personal links you want to advertise, make sure to send us your information and we'll post them on the Student Personal Links page. Right now I'm the only one who has ever put anything there. It could be a great way to spread the word about any business you own or web site you're involved with.

Wish I could be there for the big reunion, but as usual, my band will be playing in another town that night. Hope you all have a great time!

2005::

Hi everyone!  I really wish I could join you for the big 25th class reunion but I will be celebrating an anniversary of my own at the same time.  My wife, Charlotte (Charli) and I, will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on our very first cruise, sailing up the Alaskan coast.  For anyone who hasn't heard, this is supposed to be the closest thing to heaven on earth there is!

What have I been up to?

I live in St. Cloud and work for TriMin Systems Inc. www.triminsystems.com, a software development and support company, as Technical Project Manager.  Charli and I have 3 children: Brandon - 13, Austin - 12, and Roseanna - 8.

After high school I attended UMD as a Piano Performance major for 2 years.  Following that, I spent 8 more years on the road touring with a rock-n-roll show band called Livingston Fury.  These travels took me around the world and back to St. Louis where I met my wife in 1987.

We married in 1989 and I went back to school for computer programming.  In 1991 we moved to St. Cloud and I went to work for Stearns Mfg. Co. and programmed for them for 5 years.  In 1996 I began working for TriMin Systems and have been with them ever since.

Some of my favorite things to do include:

  • Playing music with some local guys in a band called The Receders
  • Spending time with my family rollerblading, playing tennis or hiking in the woods
  • Playing "handyman" around the house and garden
  • Charli is an avid gardener, excellent stay-at-home mom and just recently became a Registered Real Property Appraiser.

    Some of the things my kids like to do:

  • Brandon takes after his dad and at age 13 is already a computer programmer and skilled musician - not to mention a budding new eBay addict
  • Austin plays a mean guitar and loves his sports, playing football and baseball for his school and summer rec teams
  • Roseanna just loves being 8 by biking, rollerblading and hanging out with all her friends

    Here are a few pics of me and the gang...

    Having fun in Chicago!

    Hope you all enjoy the web site. And hey, drop me a note sometime at jalcml@charter.net.

    Thank you Cynthia for all the work you do on keeping the class reunions alive! See you all next time!

    Jeff
