First comes love, then comes marriage...
July 2009:
Jess and Kris celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in May of 2008. We left the city life in 2006 and now live in the country about 8 miles out of Proctor. We love the simple country life and have become a couple of "wood ticks." We enjoy yard work, gardening, and taking walks down our country road with our dog Sable. Jess is still fighting fires for the City of Duluth and Kris is still taking X-rays at St. Lukes Hospital.
All three of our kids are Denfeld graduates. Jake(23), Carly(21), and Dane(19).
Jake graduated from Hamline University in 2008, and is starting his second year of law school at the University of Iowa this fall. Carly is going to be a senior at the University of Minnesota; she is studing architecture. Dane graduated from Denfeld last spring and isn't sure what road he is headed down yet. He is currently working a summer job.
The kids are for the most part away and we find it difficult to get all 5 of us together. When we do, we have a blast. We enjoy each other so much. Home cooked meals, playing board games, and just plain spending time together. Funny thing about kids... If you wait long enough; they turn into adults.
We both hope that this note finds you healthy and happy. Jess and Kris Peterson

2005:
Kris (Nordwall) and I have been married for 21 years. We have three children and they're all Denfeld Hunters. Jacob (18), Carly (16), and Dane (14).
Jake graduated from high school in June and will be attending Hamline University in St. Paul this fall. He wants to study law and become a politician. He's a bright kid; he got his brains from his mom.
Carly is a sweetheart and plays basketball for Denfeld. She is quite tall and tries very hard to impress coach Frank Huie on the basketball court. Both Jake and Carly work at the local Dairy Queen during the summer.
Young Dane is a typical 14 year old. He enjoys sports and skate boarding. He claims to be starting a "fad" by growing his hair long. I guess it could be worse; it could be tattoos and nose rings.
I'm still fighting fires for the city of Duluth and Kris is still taking x-rays at St. Lukes.
Last April the five of us spent a week in Cozumel Mexico. We had a wonderful time and a family vacation we will never forget.
Sincerely,
Jess Peterson
