Richard Rackliff
After high school I spent 2 years at UMD and 2 years at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and went to work at Unisys Corporation in the Twin Cities. After working there 12 years, I took a chance with a very small company in the Twin Cities called CareFacts Information Systems , and I am still working with them since starting in 1996.
I met my future wife, Cathy, who lived in Duluth, on a blind date 6 years ago and decided to move back to Duluth, which I missed, where we were married in 1999.
Now I work at home as a computer programmer, still for CareFacts. Cathy is a 1977 Proctor High School graduate and works as a personnel specialist at UMD.
Because my wife and I married late, children did not work out for us, but we treat our 2 dogs, Sheba and Lilly, and our cat, Sasha, like our kids. Together my wife and I enjoy outdoor sports like bicycling, backpacking, and canoeing. We are putting an addition on our small house this summer which should give us some much needed space.
Since I missed the previous reunions I look forward to seeing my classmates most of whom I have not seen in 25 years.
