Tracy (Biga) MacLean

In 1985, I moved to Los Angeles and earned a Ph.D from the School of Cinema/TV at the University of Southern California. Since then I have been teaching film and media studies courses in the Los Angeles area. For the past seven years, my husband Duncan and I have been living 3 blks from the beach in Santa Monica. A year and a half ago we had a baby boy named Paul, so I think I must win the prize for being the oldest mom in the class.

Over the years I've had the chance to travel a lot, visiting every continent (except Antarctica) at least twice. Last January I went to South Africa and next January I'll be going to the Galapagos Islands. Because Duncan is from England, we also frequently travel to England and Scotland to visit his family. I also get to Duluth at least twice a year to see my family.

Right now our family is in the middle of a big upheaval. I've just started a new job as Academic Director of Intercollegiate Media Studies at the Claremont Colleges, so we are moving to Claremont (50 miles east of Santa Monica). Duncan is happy to move to where we can have a yard for the baby because he works from home as a software engineer and doesn't have to worry about commuting.

As you can imagine, with a new job, baby, and a house to remodel, I won't be able to get to the reunion, but I hope everyone has a wonderful time!
